Implementation Plans

Sound implementation planning is a key element in ensuring the successful delivery of program policies.

An Implementation plan is a management tool for a specific strategy, or strategies, designed to assist agencies to manage and monitor implementation effectively.

Implementation plans are intended to be scalable and flexible; reflecting the level of importance and innovation associated with the particular strategy.

Focus Groups

Public Awareness

Focus Groups

Focus groups offer a form of qualitative research in which a group of people are asked about their perceptions, opinions, beliefs, and attitudes towards transportation services.

Main Street Connections provides for interactive group settings where participants are free to talk with other group members.

Building relationships that help ease barriers and better understand territorial concerns is the key to successful collaboration.

Coordinated

Planning

Coordinated Planning

In 2004, the Federal Executive Order for United We Ride (UWR) and the subsequent Federal SAFETEA-LU & MAP-21 legislations called for localities to prepare Coordinated Public Transit and Human Services Transportation Plans to coordinate local transportation services and funding.

Main Street Connections believes building a successful community mobility program is the combined efforts and use of resources and infrastructure of all public, private and human service agencies within a community or region that have a common mission of moving people from place to place.

Mobility
Management

Mobility Management

Mobility management is the combined efforts and use of resources and infrastructure of all public, private and human service agencies within a community or region that have a common mission of moving people from place to place.

Main Street Connections focus is on coordination of services and providers to achieve efficiencies under a cost sharing methodology that fairly and logically determines, and then distributes among two or more benefactors, the costs of a coordinated and managed transportation system.

Transportation Management

Transportation Management

Main Street Connections offers proven solutions that centralize and monitor service delivery while coordinating services, removing unnecessary infrastructure and excessive upfront costs, and preparing you for the growing mobility needs of the 21st Century.

Mobility management was the key word of the last decade and will continue to be in the coming decades. Innovation of mobility management is slow to materialize, largely due to institutionalize thinking, agency barriers and territorial concerns.

Main Street Connections is well-seasoned at strategizing, coordinating, and implementing your mobility efforts.

Demographic
Analysis

Demographic Analysis

Main Street Connections uses demographic analysis to measure the dimensions and dynamics of populations. Primarily developed to study human populations, demographic analysis estimates are often considered a reliable standard for judging the accuracy of the census data.

In the transportation industry demographic analysis is used in a wide variety of contexts to estimate age, need, location, habits, perception, workforce, and movement of populations within corridors and service areas. But none more so than the impending explosion of mobility needs placed on the industry from the aging population known as the baby boomers.

Creating

Partnerships

Partnerships

Cooperative partnering is the key to project success; without it, overall benefits are limited.

Individual, private and public entities all focused on singular missions rather than a united approach will hinder opportunities to provide additional benefit to adjacent partners.

Cooperative partnering, or teamwork is much more productive and beneficial for all parties when it's understood that there is a common mission all partners seek, even in their agency specific missions, that common mission is the movement of people. Main Street Connections understands this concept and will bring awareness to it.

Corridor
Studies

Cooridor Studies

Corridor studies are conducted to determine the best way to serve existing and future travel demand. These studies can have a significant impact on mobility concerns.

These studies seek to recognize the effective transportation improvements that would be most effective in moving people in specified travel corridors while balancing those improvements with available funding and community concerns.

Corridor studies typically respond to a specific or multiple problems such as: medical needs, work related transportation, aging populations, student transportation, congestion relief, land-use changes, greener communities, and general freedom of mobility.

Impact

Analysis

Impact Analysis

With communities placing more and more emphasize on the use of transit due to concerns about climate change, creating livable communities and addressing an aging population, smart transit growth projects are becoming more prevalent.

Therefore, use of an impact analysis (financial, political, & economic) is an essential part of an organization's business plan; it includes an exploratory component to reveal any vulnerability, and a planning component to develop strategies for minimizing risk.

Main Street Connections provides analysis that identifies the potential risks specific to the organization studied.

Main Street Connections specialized in the area of procurement and is well verse in the federal procurement regulations as applicable to transit operations.

Procurement is the acquisition of goods or services. It is favorable that the goods/services are appropriate and that they are procured at the best possible value to meet the needs of the purchaser in terms of quality and quantity, time, and location while promoting fair and open competition.

When utilizing Federal Transit Administrations (FTA) funds, adherence to FTA Circular 4220.1F, "Third Party Contracting Requirements" is imperative. Main Street Connections provides guidance to help meet these standards.
